  • Primal Paws is a full-service, on-demand pet care company providing high-quality, personalized care throughout the Flagstaff area. With extensive experience working with pets of all sizes and temperaments, we’re committed to delivering safe, reliable, and engaging care you can trust. We operate on a mobile-app platform which allows you to schedule services anytime day or night.

  • Our standard service hours are seven days a week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

    We’re also happy to accommodate after-hours requests when needed, which may include an adjusted rate due to extended availability.

    For overnight pet sitting services, we’re available 24/7!

  • You can schedule services anytime through our client portal or mobile app. You’re also welcome to reach out by call, text, or email, and we’ll take care of everything for you.

  • Yes. We schedule a meet and greet for all new clients so we can get to know you and your pet, review your needs, and answer any questions. This helps ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident before services begin. As a thank you, your pet will receive their first walk free.

  • Your pet’s safety is our top priority. We carefully monitor behavior, adjust for weather conditions, and avoid potential hazards at all times. We are experienced with a wide range of pets and are trained in pet CPR and first aid for added peace of mind.

  • Yes. We are fully insured and bonded through Pet Care Insurance.

  • We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance are completely free. For last-minute changes within 24 hours, a small late cancellation charge may apply to help cover reserved time.

  • In the event of an emergency, we will contact you right away. If you’re unavailable, we will follow your emergency instructions, including contacting your preferred veterinarian or transporting your pet to the nearest emergency clinic if necessary.

  • You can message us directly through the app or reach out via call, text, or email at any time. We’re always available while your pet is in our care.

DOG WALKING

  • Your pet will be safely guided through your neighborhood by one of our trained associates. We provide water breaks as needed and closely monitor your pet to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

  • Not at all. As long as we have secure access to your home, we’ll take care of everything.

  • You can provide your preferred access method, such as a lockbox or entry code. For security reasons, we do not retain physical keys.

  • Yes. We offer 30-minute, 1-hour, and extended adventure walks which are 3 hour local hikes.

  • Adventure walks are perfect for high-energy dogs and take place on local trails like Buffalo Park. These include structured exercise, regular hydration breaks, rest time, and optional snacks. 3 hour duration.

  • Every walk is tailored to your pet. Whether they need a slower pace, extra monitoring, or more exercise, we adjust accordingly to keep them comfortable and safe.

  • We operate in most weather conditions, but may reschedule in the event of severe or unsafe conditions.

  • Yes. You’ll receive GPS tracking, photos, and a detailed report after each walk.

  • No. All walks are private unless pets belong to the same household.

  • You can cancel anytime. For short-notice changes, a small late cancellation charge may apply.

  • If access isn’t available, we allow a short window to resolve the issue. If needed, we’ll simply reschedule at a time that works best for you.

PET SITTING

  • We offer overnight stays or scheduled daily visits. Services include walks, feeding, medication administration, playtime, and regular updates throughout the day.

  • Please provide access to your home, your pet’s food, medications if needed, and detailed care instructions.

  • Yes. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and notes so you always know how your pet is doing.

  • Yes. We follow your instructions carefully to ensure your pet receives everything they need.

  • We will notify you immediately and follow your emergency plan, including contacting your veterinarian if necessary.

BATHING

  • Full details are available on our services page. Each bath is thorough, gentle, and tailored to your pet’s needs.

  • No. Pickup and drop-off are included for your convenience.

  • We use natural, eco-friendly products that are safe for pets. Medicated options are available if needed.

  • We take a calm, patient approach and work at your pet’s pace to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

SHUTTLE

  • We safely transport your pet to appointments, daycare, or other destinations—so you don’t have to worry about scheduling conflicts.

  • Yes. Pets are secured using crash-tested crates or seatbelt harness systems.

  • Yes. All transport services are direct with no additional stops.

  • Yes. A short wait time is included, and extended wait time can be accommodated as needed.
